Guide to Recruitment

How Does Sorority Recruitment Work?

Sorority recruitment is a thrilling process that allows you to explore different sisterhoods and find your perfect match within the vibrant Greek community. Picture this: a whirlwind of smiles, laughter, and positive energy as you navigate through a series of events designed to showcase the uniqueness and values of each sorority.

The adventure begins with an exhilarating orientation, where you'll meet fellow potential new members (PNMs) who are just as excited as you are. From icebreaker activities to team-building exercises, this is your chance to shine and make new friends while getting a taste of the incredible sisterhood spirit.

As the journey continues, you'll embark on a series of rounds that showcase the diverse personalities and passions of each sorority. These rounds are an opportunity for you to get to know the sorority members, engage in lively conversations, and discover the values that resonate with you the most.

This process is also about finding your tribe. You'll have countless chances to ask questions, share your interests, and express your authentic self. The goal is to ensure that you and the sorority you choose are a perfect fit—a place where you'll thrive, grow, and create cherished memories together.

Rho Gammas

The best part? You're not alone in this journey! You'll have dedicated recruitment counselors or Rho Gammas by your side, providing guidance, support, and a shoulder to lean on throughout the process. These amazing individuals are unbiased, serving as your personal cheerleaders while helping you navigate each step with confidence.

Finally, after an incredible week of exploring, connecting, and discovering, comes Bid Day—the grand finale! This is the moment when you receive your invitation, or "bid," to join one of the sororities in our community. It's a celebration like no other, filled with hugs, cheers, and pure happiness as you become an official member of your chosen sorority, joining a sisterhood that will be there for you through thick and thin.

  • Take care of yourself: Recruitment week can be physically and emotionally demanding. Make sure to prioritize self-care. Get enough rest, eat well, and stay hydrated. Take breaks when needed and seek support from your recruitment counselors or friends if you feel overwhelmed.

  • Trust the process: The sorority recruitment process is designed to help you find the best fit. Trust the process and have faith that you will end up where you belong. Sometimes, the sorority you feel the strongest connection with may surprise you.

  • Stay true to your values: While it's essential to be open-minded, remember to stay true to your own values and aspirations. Choose a sorority that aligns with your personal beliefs and goals. It's important to find a supportive community where you feel comfortable being yourself.

  • Have fun and enjoy the experience: Recruitment week is a once-in-a-lifetime experience filled with opportunities to meet new people and create lasting friendships. Embrace the process, enjoy the events, and cherish the memories you'll make along the way.
